A globe of clear seeded glass held inside a banded metal cage, hung on a chain from a ceiling rose. The burnished bronze finish is warmer and brighter than the usual weathered greys, which keeps it from disappearing against a dark porch wall once the light is on.
The seeded glass matters more than it sounds. Clear glass with tiny bubbles through it breaks the light up as it passes, so you get a soft scatter across a porch floor rather than three hard filament reflections. Rated IP44, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations where it may be exposed to splashing water. Position and install it in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
