What IP rating should I choose for an outdoor light?
Choose the fitting for its actual position and exposure to rain, spray and weather rather than relying on one blanket number. Check the IP rating on the product page and have fixed external wiring assessed by a competent electrician.
Can outdoor wall lights be used by a front door?
Yes, provided the fitting is suitable for the location and exposure. Consider both the IP rating and the direction of light so the entrance is useful without creating unnecessary glare.
Do outdoor lights use replaceable bulbs or integrated LED?
Both are available. Replaceable-lamp fittings make future bulb changes simple, while integrated LED can allow slimmer designs. Check the product page for the light source before ordering.
What colour temperature works well outside?
Warmer light often feels more welcoming around entrances and seating areas, while a cleaner white can suit more task-led areas. Where the fitting uses a replaceable bulb, the bulb determines the colour temperature.
